The democratic response to the SOTU came from the Virginia governor. If he says, "there's a better way" one more time, I'm going to go over and hug instapundit. STOP IT, man. Just stop it. You look like you're doing an ad for a personal injury law office in an overpriced hotel room.

My favorite part was the fireplace just to his left (on camera). It looked like he was speaking from the fires of hell.
It would have been better if Sen. Clinton or Kennedy gave it. Obama would have been a good choice too. Stupid Democrats. No wonder the Republican's control the government totally now.

The move was a very pragmatic one for the Dems. Their base likes Obama, Hillary, etc. but they're too dark,female,liberal,etc. for the middle of the road and conservatives who may be wavering in their faith in the GOP. This was a response targeting those who haven't voted Democrat in recent years. By putting somebody out there who looks and sounds kind of like a Republic, the hopes are to lure some over to the other side. But it's got to be done with baby steps...
