Repeat after me:
"If I should decide to take a vacation or a break from blogging, I will not ask anyone to guest blog for me. I am not that important. The Internet has and will survive without me, my brilliant wit, and my stunning prose -- indefinitely."

Darn. And I was going to ask you to guest-blog for me.
blaaahahaha!
Damn! And i was going to ask you to guest-blog for me, again.
Well, Troy, for you okay. (Sorry Shelley, Troy's grandfathered/mothered in because i did it once.) I think Denise would say that there's precedence. ;-)
p.s., the deleted comment was troy's double-comment. just ftr.
J.
If you do actually take a blogger's vacation (bit of an oxymoron there)...
please give me some notice so I can time my meds properly. Shelley did NOT give suffcient notice and I've been depressed for a few weeks as a result. I'll rememeber Shelley's productive years as a golden era for blogging. We're in this darker period where there isn't a voice like Shelley's (or a mind for that matter) to take down some of the self proclaimed leaders of the latest Web movements. Criticism has value but it is a lonely job just consistently asking the toughest questions.
My list of valued critics contains you
and no one else I can think of today... How very, very sad.
So, give two week notice of any vacations, please.
I suppose this eliminates my fond hope that I can guest blog for you while you're at BlogHer.
Hee hee! I saw one of the more frequently read bloggers do this on her way to a Very Important Speech In Another Country last week.
I'm so glad her fill-in blogger helped prevent the world from spinning off its axis during her time away from her Unbelievably Important Blog.
